Your CCCK-8 PTSA wishes you and yours a fantastic SPRING BREAK!  See you again March 31st!

Family Feedback Survey:

As an organization, we need to know what the  needs of our school community are in order for us to meet those needs.  Your feedback reveals opportunities for us to improve as an organization and as a school.  Consequently, we have built a short survey for you to complete to give us some feedback.  Please follow this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MYQD6LR  to complete the short survey and let us know what you think.  This particular survey is about how informed you are about what is happening at our school.  Please feel free to share any thoughts you have!  We look forward to your response.

Come see History brought to Life!

Please join the CCC K8 School 5th -8th grade for a special presentation by Hal Bidlack, PHD  as Alexander Hamilton

Enjoy a spontaneous and un-scripted presentation by a historical impersonator and scholar

Alexander Hamilton was one of the most important of the Founding Fathers, perhaps second only to General Washington. While Mr. Jefferson wrote the brilliant Declaration of Independence, it was Mr. Hamilton whose vision and spirit continue to dominate the American culture and economy today. Our nation owes a debt to the good Mr. Hamilton that is as deep today as it was 200 years ago.

Dr. Bidlack will bring Hamilton alive, providing a very real sense of the history of our nation’s founding.  His portrayal captures the intellect, wit, humor, and humanity of this important historical figure.

Presented in the Chautauqua style of scholarship and education, audiences come to believe they are in the presence of a Founding Father.

When: April 2nd at 1:45 pm

Where: CCC K8 School Gym

Cost: Donations will be accepted to benefit the CCC K8 Washington DC trip and Outdoor Lab

Please email Maria McVey at mcveycjam@gmail.com to reserve a seat. Only 25 extra seats available.

This opportunity to see a nationally recognized keynote speaker is brought to you by the CCC K8 5th Grade Class and a grant from Colorado Humanities.

Help Wanted:

  • Silent Auction:  We will be hosting our annual silent auction as part of the talent show Friday, May 8th.  This is a MAJOR fundraiser for us and helps us be able to help pay for the Writers in the School program we hosted this spring.  It will also allow us to supplement the school’s technology budget (i.e. laptops, chromebooks, iPads) as well as fund our remaining enrichment programs we plan to offer before the end of the year.  If you are interested in helping to plan or prepare for this event, please contact Beth Deming at beammeupdeming@yahoo.com or 303-642-0841

Stay tuned in future Friday Notes and PTSA member emails for more information on upcoming programs. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, concerns, please feel free to contact me.
