2/26/16 Friday Notes
PTSA Alternative Fundraiser – Now Online!
In last week’s Friday Folder, we sent home a pink or purple alternative fundraiser form. Don’t forget to participate if you are going to. You can now contribute to this fundraiser online at: http://ccck8ptsa.org/alternative-fundraiser/ These funds will help us to cover expenses for the end of the year like field trip buses and classroom supplies and help us get ready for next year. We try hard as an organization not to get into the business of selling stuff. This fundraiser model is based on people just making donations, not in exchange for events, things or stuff!
We very much appreciate your support. It makes a real difference for our students and the learning environment we can offer in our little community school.
At the beginning of the year we set a goal to have an Eagle Eyes volunteer at the school on 70 school. We are half way there! If you have been considering volunteering as an Eagle Eye, please claim your day at http://vols.pt/H65mnS Please spread the word to all the men in your child’s life! If you have any questions about the program, please contact Jason Moat.

The Brazilians and the British are coming back this year!
Coming back for a second year, from June 13-17 will be hosting the Tetra Brazil Soccer Academy for our 10-16 year old soccer players. This program focuses on technical development, and is led by Brazilian coaches that bring an authentic taste of the flair, passion and creativity of Brazilian soccer.
Our fourth summer of British Soccer Camp will be hosted by the Coal Creek Canyon Park & Recreation District (CCCP&RD) at the Coal Creek Canyon K-8 Turf Field from July 11-15. This week of soccer fun is led by British soccer coaches, and programs are
available for kids from ages 3 -16.
Kids can sign up for one or both weeks of camp. Register now to get the free jersey at www.challengersports.com.
PTSA Help Wanted:
Silent Auction Co-Planner
We will be hosting our annual silent auction as part of the talent show Friday, April 15th. This is a MAJOR fundraiser for us and helps us be able to help pay for the Enrichment programs we hosted and will host this year. It will also allow us to supplement the school’s technology budget (i.e. laptops, chromebooks, iPads) as well as help us prepare for next year where school financial resources will likely be more limited. We really need one other person to help us plan and prepare for this event, please contact Jody Dickson at email@example.com or x3568 or Beth Deming at firstname.lastname@example.org or 303-642-0841
Stay tuned on our website http://www.ccck8ptsa.org or on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/CCCK8PTSA for more information on upcoming programs. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, concerns, please feel free to contact me.
