Silent Auction & Talent Show  – ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!

Friday April 15th 5:30 pm food & auction, 6:30 pm performances begin
Our community school is hosting our annual Talent Show featuring performances by our students.  Please come and enjoy an evening of delicious food and great entertainment.  Bid at the silent auction to win great prizes, gift certificates and fun activities.  All proceeds will go to the PTSA’s enrichment and technology funds to support alternative learning activities tied to the curriculum at the school.  We hope you can join us at this event that supports our school and showcases our talented students!

Free Clay Sculpture Workshop

Tuesday, April 12   3:30-4:30
Art Room, CCC K8
for Grades K-8 with Ms. Cruz and Mr. Rasch
Students will use clay to sculpt a character or feature from a favorite book.
Requirement:  Prior to the event, students will need to complete a bubble map (graphic organizer web) to generate adjectives for their character (or feature such as part of setting, etc.). Students may also find it helpful to prepare a sketch of what they wish to sculpt. Bring map/sketch to the workshop. 20 Students maximum. First 20 students turning in required graphic organizer and Registration (see attached form) can attend.  IMPORTANT: Students in K-2 will need to be accompanied by a parent or other adult. Grades 3-8 may come on their own.

Summer Soccer Camps

The Brazilians and the British are coming back this year!

Coming back for a second year, from June 13-17 will be hosting the Tetra Brazil Soccer Academy for our 10-16 year old soccer players.  This program focuses on technical development, and is led by Brazilian coaches that bring an authentic taste of the flair, passion and creativity of Brazilian soccer.

Our fourth summer of British Soccer Camp will be hosted by the Coal Creek Canyon Park & Recreation District (CCCP&RD) at the Coal Creek Canyon K-8 Turf Field from July 11-15.  This week of soccer fun is led by British soccer coaches, and programs are
available for kids from ages 3 -16.

Kids can sign up for one or both weeks of camp. Register now to get the free jersey at www.challengersports.com.
