Teacher Appreciation

UPDATE: I have one person who would like to SHARE this position.  If you were hesitant to take on the whole thing, but are willing to do it with someone else, please contact Jody (contact info below.)  Remember: Many hands make light work… and it is always fun to volunteer with a friend!

Do you like to treat others with gifts or other special treats?  We are seeking a Teacher Appreciation Coordinator.  The position is responsible for organizing two staff dinners, two staff lunches and other teacher and staff appreciation treats throughout the year.  The school staff works hard for our community kids, so we want to show them all the love they deserve!  If you are interested in helping us demonstrate to all our teachers and staff how much we appreciate everything they do, then this is the job for you.  It doesn’t take much time, but it still VERY important.  This position works well as a job-sharing opportunity, if you don’t want to do it by yourself, and community members are welcome to apply!  If you or someone you know might be interested this position, please contact Jody Dickson, jody@dickson.org

Classroom Enrichment Support Fund
In recent years, the PTSA has provided a classroom enrichment fund in order to provide financial resources for field trips, guest speakers, and other ways of learning at the classroom level. This year we are providing $300 per classroom. Enrichment opportunities often cost between $50 – $300, so we welcome you to contribute to this fund to help the teachers provide these unique learning opportunities. Any funds you donate will be applied to your student(s)’ classroom fund and will help expand what the teachers are able to do. You may contribute online at: http://www.ccck8ptsa.org/programs-events/in-school-enrichment/
